The Web Standards Project
07:51 AM - Jun 11, 2002
Fight for Web Standards The new WaSP site is now live. WaSP wants to help people learn about, understand, and implement standards-compliant sites. The new site will continue to grow with that in mind. Work continues, of course, with browser makers and tool makers toward creating products that support W3C recommendations.
WaSP Kudos and Comments
- WebReference Update, written by Andy King, gave WaSP a terrific write-up yesterday that also describes some of what you’ll find at the new site, including a blog with all the latest and a new Learn section.
- Rogue Librarian, written by Carrie Bickner, writes much about the WaSP relaunch, web standards, and WaSP’s Dreamweaver Task Force.
- Eric Meyer also writes good insight and comments about the WaSP relaunch. See the June 10 and 11 posts.
- Slashdot: Return of the WaSP is quite a lively discussion thread going at Slashdot, some derogatory, some supportive, and everything in between. Over 100 posts in this thread by early afternoon.
- See yesterday’s post here for more.
Fight for Web Standards By the way, nifty new Web Standards Project buttons and banners will be available very soon at the WaSP site. We’re working on it.
