Nikolay Soltys is Caught!

Late-breaking news—I’m watching the helicopter on TV over the scene where Nikolay Soltys has just been taken into custody. For those who don’t know, he’s the man who murdered 6 of his family members last week, including his wife, 3-year-old son, his aunt and uncle, and his 9- and 10-year-old cousins in the Sacramento area.

Soltys was taken into custody from the back yard of his own mother’s house also in the Sacramento area. He was apparently hiding in the back yard under a desk. He was shabbily dressed, no shoes, dirty, and it seems that he was trying to live on the street. They don’t believe he was being harbored by anyone.

The sheriff told the news just now that Soltys' brother saw him hiding in the back yard, ran across the street, jumped into his car and called 911 to report that Soltys was hiding in the back yard.

I’m sure it will be all over the national and international news shortly. The local news here is talking live with the sheriff, who just mentioned there will be a 10am news conference about all of this.

What a relief to catch him!
